In this Chapter, the main management targets of maritime grids are comprehensively reviewed and several important in book described detail, including (1) navigation task: ship should arrive at destination via scheduled route within a pre-given time-period; (2) energy consumption: achieving task by consuming minimum energy, tasks ships logistic ports; (3) gas emission efficiency: reducing improving efficiency while accomplishing task; (4) reliability under multiple failures: ability to continuously supply critical loads during failures; (5) Lifecycle cost: extending lifetime auxiliary equipment corresponding lifecycle cost; (6) quality service: satisfaction degree customers, such as heating/cooling service cruise ship, cold-ironing for berthed-in on-time rates cargo delivery. Conventionally, most above vital operating indexes industry. However, new background extensive electrification, become energy-related therefore could be controlled optimized optimization-based management.
